Unibet is one of the latest entrants to the booming New Jersey online gaming market. The Malta-based company is part of The Kindred Group, a company that operates a number of online gambling brands.

While Unibet is just now making its debut in the US, the company has been around for a while. It was founded back in 1997. Since that point, Unibet has grown to have a customer base of 11 million consumers across 100 different countries.

In NJ, Unibet has hitched its wagon to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The two entities signed a partnership agreement last summer. The Kindred Group went on to obtain the proper licenses to operate in the state. The rest is history.

Interested in seeing what Unibet has to offer before signing up? You’ve come to the right place. We’re going to take a detailed look at what the new kid on the block brings to the table.

Let’s get started by seeing what it’s like to sign up and play at Unibet.

Unibet Sign-up Process

When signing up for a new online casino, the last thing you want to do is have to jump through hoops. No worries here. The sign-up process on Unibet is quick and painless.

To get started, look for the yellow join now button on the main page.

After you click on that, you’ll be able to begin the quick three-step process. First up, you’ll need to set your login info. Be sure to choose an email address that you actually use.

Once that’s set, you’ll need to enter your name and a couple of other pieces of info.

Next, you’ll need to enter your address and phone number. This is all standard operating procedure for signing up at an online casino.

The last step consists of answering some security questions and checking off a few boxes.

Click the join button and you’ll be prompted to enter the last four digits of your social. Relax. This is just for verification purposes. If they have any trouble verifying your identity, you’ll be asked to provide additional documentation.

That’s all you need to do.

You can deposit money right away and get going, or you can just go to the home page to check it out. We found the sign-up process at Unibet to be really quick and easy. We gave it five stars as a result.

Unibet Deposit Options and Fees

Once you’re ready to deposit money on Unibet, you’ll find another process that’s smooth and easy. Even better, there are several different ways to add funds and withdraw once you rack up some winnings.

The table down below breaks it all down for you.

Unibet Funding OptionsDepositWithdrawCost
VIP Preferred✅ Yes❌ NoFree
Credit or Debit Cards✅ Yes✅ YesFree
Mazooma✅ Yes✅ YesFree
Play+ Card✅ Yes✅ YesFree
PayNearMe✅ Yes❌ NoFree
Hard Rock Casino Cage✅ Yes✅ YesFree

To deposit, just click on the my account button at the top of the screen.

Click on it. Then look for the cashier function and click on that.

From there, you’ll see all of the different options you can use.

There are standard options like Visa and Mastercard, as well as a VIP preferred program which you can enroll in. If you have any trouble with your credit card processing gambling-related transactions, there’s a Play+ option that can be used.

Some banks and processors are pains in the neck when it comes to depositing money at an online casino. That’s true in spite of all the recent changes. The Play+ option allows you to move money there and then seamlessly transfer it to the casino without issue.

There’s also an option for Mazooma, which is a payment processor that has been gaining in popularity for gaming transactions. If you prefer to take care of business in person, you can visit the Hard Rock on the Atlantic City boardwalk and do so.

On the downside, there’s no option for either PayPal or ACH. Unibet has a decent assortment of options, but we’d like to see more.

Depositing money in Unibet is super easy, but the lack of some standard funding options leaves us giving it four out of five stars.

Unibet Sports Betting

As of right now, Unibet does not offer sports betting. That’s expected to change in the future, but we’ll have to wait and see. Based on what we have seen so far, we’re excited to see what the company may bring to the table in the future.

Unibet Casino

No sports betting is a bit of a downer, but Unibet makes up for it for now with its casino offerings. There’s a good selection of standard table games and plenty of slots to choose from.

For slots, we found over 240 different games to choose from. There’s even a search bar if you’re looking for a specific game.

It’s a solid selection of slots overall. However, we were a little disappointed not to find any games listed as exclusive titles. Even worse, we only found three titles which could be considered jackpot slots.

Since Unibet is new to the US market, perhaps there will be more to come in the future. For now, we weren’t overly impressed with the selection of slot games.

For table games, you’ll find all of the standard options you would expect to find at an online casino.

In our test, the software on both the slot and table game side seemed real smooth. We were up and ready to play quickly on both, and we didn’t come across any problems.

One other note to keep in mind: Unibet also doesn’t offer poker as of right now, outside of the three-card poker table game. We don’t know if that’s going to change in the future, but we’ll wait and see.

Mobile Betting

While many online casinos offer mobile betting, some of them make it tough to find that out. That’s not the case on Unibet. There’s a direct link at the top of the screen to find out more about mobile offerings.

Unibet is only available for Android users as of now, but the company says iOS is on the way.

The lack of iOS is a downer, but it’s a nice touch to add options for support help if needed. In our test, the downloading of the Android app was easy. The app itself ran smooth and we didn’t come across any annoying glitches.

If Unibet can turn the same trick for iOS, they’ll get a big thumbs up from us on mobile betting.

Customer Support

It’s a different story on support for Unibet. If we click on the question mark at the top, we’re quickly brought to a dedicated support page.

The bases are covered with live chat, phone, and email. We were a little disappointed to not see the address for the company listed on the page. We’re resourceful and can use the internet to find it, but we also shouldn’t have to.

We tested out the phone option to see how long it would take to get to a live rep. In our experience, it was under a minute. We did the same for live chat.

After we clicked the live chat button, we put in some basic info and entered the queue.

Same thing. We were talking to somebody in under a minute. It seems like Unibet has the support thing down pretty well.

Education

We didn’t find anything resembling a dedicated education section on Unibet. While there are plenty of places to learn how to play elsewhere, it’s always cool to have that information at hand. We did find a help section when we clicked on the question mark at the top of the screen.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much in there either. Even the page that says ‘how to play’ only contained some generic information.

Game rules and paytables are included in each of the individual games, but that’s not enough on the education front. We’ll see if Unibet works to improve on this in the future.

The Bottom Line

Unibet is part of The Kindred Group and a well-known brand across the globe. The company recently made its debut for online and mobile gaming in NJ. They partnered up with Hard Rock in Atlantic City and secured the necessary licenses to make it happen.

For now, Unibet offers only casino games. It’s expected that the site will offer sports betting at some point. The site and mobile offerings are slick and easy to use. There’s a decent amount of support options, and the cashier function is simple and user-friendly.

On the downside, Unibet could use some more funding options for users. There’s no dedicated education section, and the assortment of slot games are lacking in comparison to competitors. The table game selection is standard and basic.

Since Unibet is a new player on the scene, we’ll assume there will be more to come. In the meantime, it’s worth taking the time to check it out.
